Falklands penguin ‘adopted’ by MP

Colchester MP Sir Bob Russell has adopted a penguin!  He did so while visiting the Falkland Islands through his membership of the Defence Select Committee.

Sir Bob called in at the Falklands Conservation office in Stanley and made a donation for the adoption of a King Penguin whose distinguishing features include bright yellow plumage on the upper part of the body.  The adopted penguin has been given the name “JOJS” – the initials of Sir Bob’s four grandchildren: Joseph, Owen, Jessica and Sam.
