A milestone was reached on Tuesday when Colchester MP Sir Bob Russell held his 900th Advice Bureau for residents.  Since he became the Town's MP in 1997 Sir Bob has had more than 10,000 appointments with residents who have sought his help with a wide range of issues.

So many people want to meet Sir Bob that he is currently taking appointments for September with the next ten already fully booked.

He has more such sessions for residents than any other MP in Essex.

Each advice bureau usually run for three hours, with each appointment allocated 20 minutes, but a few months ago he held a mammoth 12-hour session from 9am to 9pm.
