ANGLIAN WATER makes staggering £390 million profit despite continuing to dump sewage in Colchester’s rivers.

The Lib Dems are demanding a ‘Sewage Tax’ of 16% on water companies profits to create an emergency fund - after Anglian Water made a huge £390 million profit last year.

Colchester’s Conservative MP voted against proposals that would have led to tougher action against water companies for pumping sewage into our rivers. 

He also opposed a bill that would have forced water companies to report on the number of animals killed by sewage dumps.
