Prettygate Ward

Local Campaigners John Loxley and Alan Mathias

Your Local Liberal Democrat Team - Working hard for you all year round

John Loxley is your local Lib Dem campaigner for Prettygate.

John has lived and been involved in Prettygate and Lexden since he moved to Colchester as a child.

John has actively campaigned for residents of Prettygate and Lexden over the last 14 years. In the May local elections John only just failed to win, coming 22 votes behind the Conservative.

When previously a member of Essex County Council, John was instrumental in making sure that Lexden Park was not turned into another housing estate and that County handed it over to Colchester Borough Council as a public open space.

John has a keen interest in environmental issues and is an accredited Green Lib Dem Candidate.

John is a hard working local campaigner who will fight hard for what’s best for Prettygate and local residents.
